So I have always dreaded the idea of having a litter box on my main floor because my younger cat (one of two) is such a messy cat! However I ran into a snag! My older cat spends a lot of time in the basement and is very territorial. So when my younger cat tries to go into the basement to use the box they end up fighting and the younger cat cannot do its business. So I was faced with the dilemma… I don’t want my cat to start finding other spots to go so I decided to go against my initial thoughts and add a litter box to my main floor. I decided on one with a cover. I was hoping it would keep the litter inside. So far so good. Except for a little bit of tracking the litter has remained in the box and it has it contained the smell, I think. I definitely would recommend this litter box!
