Although it feels like summer just started you know as soon the 4th of July passes it seems to speed up. Well summer sales will pick up then too. By knowing what items will be discounted you can shop now and save money. Here are some of the most common July sale items.

1. Grill and BBQ Supplies-Right after the Fourth of July you’ll start to see grills and other barbecue items going on sale. If you’ve been waiting to buy a grill, now is the time to do it.
2. Summer Foods– Hot dogs, ground beef, london broil, buns, chips, ice cream, condiments all will be on sale BEFORE and after the 4th!
3. Summer Apparel– By mid-July summer clothes will start to go on sale. Now is the time to size up for next year for the kiddos and buy those summer pieces you had your eye on but couldn’t validate spending full price for.
4. Garden Items- Many of these items have already gone on sale or are sold out but you will see the rest go on sale this month. Sprinklers, hoses, planters, seeds and other garden items will be clearanced this month.
5. Patio Furniture- Lawn chairs and other patio furniture will start to be discounted. You may get deeper discounts though as the summer goes on.
6. Beach Items- Towels, chairs, beach toys and sunscreen will start to go on sale. Stock up on sunscreen now, especially if you have a favorite.
7. School Supplies- Yep! That’s right! Start checking circulars and in-store sales at places like Staples, Walmart and Target. I always try to buy what’s on sale each week and stock up. This way you aren’t trying to pick through the craziness at the end of August!
8. Fruits and Vegetables– Corn, summer squash, peaches, watermelon and tomatoes are all on sale this month. Stock up for freezing, dehydration and canning.
